With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ellen Gillen of Johnstown, New York, born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on September 19, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert F. Stearns and Jessie F. Stearns (Carter); and her siblings, Linda Rohlman, Roberta Aldi, Robert John Stearns and Richard Stearns.
She is survived by: her children, Richard (Nicole Gillen, Jr.), Beth (Joe Hogan) and Justin Peeler; her siblings, Cherie Tedesco and Mark Stearns; her sister-in-law Marguerite Horman; her grandchildren, Ryan Gillen, Justin Gillen, Ricky, Natalie Vogel, Kyle Rodeo (Haley) and Kassidy Hogan; and her great grandchildren, London Vogel, Tyler James Gillen and Declan James Rodeo.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to assist with the incurred expenses with love and gratitude. Donations may be sent to Richard Gillen, Jr., 180 Western Ave., Apt. 2, Albany, NY 12203.
