He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Perna and Mary Perrella Perna; his son David Michael Perna; his grandson Jason Perna; and his siblings, Virginia Perna, Pat Perna, Richard Perna, Connie Putnam, Theresa Piazza, Louis Perna, David Perna and Adora Ort.
He is survived by: his daughter Debbie; his wife Mary L. Rhodes Perna of Johnstown; his children, Anthony Perna (Diane) and Deborah Viscosi (John) of Johnstown; his grandchildren, Zachary Viscosi, Julia Viscosi, Anthony "AJ" Perna, Caitlin Clark, Gabe Perna, Lucia Perna, Eugenia and Fred; and his siblings, Donald Perna, Linda Cook, Raymond Perna and Robert Perna. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic, private visitation and a Mass of Christian Burial will take place at the convenience and safety of the family at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 151 S. Main St; Gloversville.
