He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his children, Angela Brownell (Keith) of Edinburg, NY, Lynnsay Lawton of Putnam, CT, Laura Lawton of Thompson, CT and Dustin Lawton (Kirsten) of Trenton, SC.; his grandchildren, Emily, Benjamin, Dorian, Alyssa, Cameron, Chloe, Kevin, Chase and Kinsley; his great grandchild Liam; and his siblings, Dan Dawson (Linda) of Canajoharie, NY, Doug Dawson (Cheryl) of Fonda, NY, Roland Lawton (Tina) of Johnstown, NY and Loretta Klingbeil (Casey) of Johnstown, NY.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
