He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Smith and June Smith (Pitts); and his siblings, Lyndon Smith and Sandy Haak. He is survived by: his wife Victoria J. Leach Smith; his children, Debra Smith of Virginia, Howard Smith Jr. (Katrina) of Georgia, Pastor Martin Smith (Mary) of New York and Veronica Griffin (Joey) of Tennessee; and his siblings, Richard Smith, Linda Harding of Johnstown, Nancy Dillenbeck of Fort Plain and Ralph Smith of Gloversville. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
