She was predeceased by: her parents, John Riska and Helen Riska (Maceyka); her husband Richard Vavra; and her siblings, William Riska, Frederick Riska and Velma Curtis.
She is survived by: her daughter Susan Vavra (Jack DeLyser); her niece Patricia Peck (Alby); her great-nieces, Denise Kretser and Gail Stearns; and her close friends, Mary Tyler and Diane Phillips.
