She is survived by: her husband Salvatore "Tooty" Melita; her son Zachary Melita; her daughter-in-law Debra Melita; her grandchildren, Nicholas Melita, Joshua Melita and Cameron Melita; her sisters, Carmita Hladik and Rose Pelosi; and her siblings-in-law, Bob Pelosi and Minnie Melita. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's research.
