He is survived by: his daughter Marie Ackerbauer (Sam Sarraino); his grandchildren, Carl Ackerbauer (Courtney Stewart), Kristen Baker (Thomas) and Michael Ackerbauer (Raylene); his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Alexandra Baker, Bryce, Mikhaila and Austin Ackerbauer; and his friends, Frank Bellinger and Ruth Praetorius. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
