He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ropeter and Blanche Veeder Ropeter. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Smith Ropeter; his daughters, Wendy Ropeter Pedersen of Johnstown and Michelle Ropeter Lewis (David) of Delaware; his brothers, Richard Ropeter of Gloversville and Robert Ropeter; and his grandson Zachary Reginald Pedersen. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
