He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sheriff John and Georgianna Hayward Brown; his former wife Bonnie Archinal; his wife Carolyn Murray Illsley; his daughters, Candace Opalka (Dennis), Penny Rivenburg (Carl) and Vanessa Rulison (Max); his stepchildren, Douglas Illsley (Lynn) and DiAnne Mott (John); his brother Ronald "Ronny" Brown (Millie); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Steele (Jim), Alexander Robbins (Lauren), Sarah Forthman (Mike), Marci Carey (Tom), Megan Johnson (Eric), Andrew Miller (Cassi), Kyle Rivenburg (Madison), Jordan Rivenburg (Mike), Sydney Rivenburg (Brandon), Molly Rulison (Tim) and Zachary Rulison. He was also cherished by twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
