He is survived by: his son Richard C. Monroe, Jr. of Ballston Lake; his siblings, Patricia Denman (Bill) of Johnstown, Lori Hart (Steven) of Johnstown, Julie Barnholt (Rick) of Johnstown and Jody Monroe of Mayfield; and his grandchildren, Coreena Marie Monroe and Troy Monroe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
