He was predeceased by: his parent Claire R. DePietro. He is survived by: his son Erick Simms Jr.; and his siblings, Phallon Depietro, Charles Appollonia, Joseph Simms (Coleen Simms) and Daniel Simms (Stephanie Simms). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
