He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Whittaker and Georgia K. Whittaker (Ellsworth); his former wife Joan Whittaker (Joy); and his son Robert Whittaker. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, George H. "Ricky" Whittaker, Jr. of Port Ewen, Joseph E. Whittaker (Andrea) of Esopus and Elizabeth "Liz" Markle of Hurley; his siblings, Theresa, Kathleen and James "Doodle"; and his grandchildren, Christopher Whittaker (Katie) of Michigan, Carley Whittaker (Christopher) of Esopus, David Markle of Kerhonkson and Joseph Markle of Hurley. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews and cousins.
