It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herbert Martin Hekler (Kingston, New York), who passed away on August 4, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brothers, Karl Hekler and Alfred "Freddy" Hekler; and his siblings-in-law, Bern Deichmann, Karl Sontag and Toby Hekler.
He is survived by: his wife Elke Hekler (Deichmann) of Kingston; his sons, Garth Hekler (Christina) of Herndon, VA, Peter Hekler (Inna) of Watchung, NJ and Eric Chambers Hekler (Andrea) of San Diego, CA; and his grandchildren, Daiyan, Sasha, Gabriel, Grace and Elijah. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
