It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Frances McDermott (Knox, New York), who passed away on June 29, 2019, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Gage and Beula Gage; her husband Harold; her grandchildren, Kevin McDermott, Sherri Hempstead and Richard Hempstead; and her siblings, Thelma Hoberg, Ruth Martin, Wendell Gage and Charles Gage.
She is survived by: her children, Donald McDermott (Linda) of Huntersland, Linda Hempstead (Gerald) of Middleburgh and Darleen Shrederis (Martin) of Schoharie; her grandchild Kim Ryan (Jim); and her sister Joyce Heigle. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
