It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose L. Ortiz Sr. of Lackawanna, New York, who passed away on October 22, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alfredo Ortiz and Carmen Ortiz; and his sisters, Delilah Ortiz and Maria Ortiz. He is survived by : his spouse Damaris Ortiz; his children, Solcrystal Vega (Nelson), Jose L., Jr. Ortiz (Laura) and Albert Ortiz (Shelia Santiago); his grandchildren, Aleyandel, Natalia, Michelle, Albert, Audriana, Noah, Carly and Evelyn; and his brothers, Juan Jimenez (Teresa), George Ortiz (Mirna), Alfredo Ortiz, Edwin Ortiz, Albert Ortiz and Manuel "Tony" Ortiz (Cecelia). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
