It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert E. Courtney of Mahopac, New York, who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Robert E. Courtney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl and Elizabeth N. Courtney (House); his significant other Marilyn; his brother John House Courtney; his brother-in-law Andrew N. Reynolds; and his son-in-law Charles A. Rapinz.
He is survived by: his close friend Marilyn Reynolds; his daughters, Carolyn Kalinich (David), Julie Rapinz, Wendy Courtney Munson (Joseph) and Holly O'Connor (Jim); his grandchildren, Jennifer Miller Torres (Eduardo), Rich Miller (Dawn), Rebecca Zeiler Foust, Kelly, Shannon and Ryan O'Connor; and his great grandchildren, Aurelia, Carlo, Julian, Sadie and Andrew Robert.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Joseph J. Smith Funeral Home, Inc. (692 US-6, Mahopac, NY 10541).
