He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Cassidy and Frances Cassidy; his son Dereck; and his siblings, Scott and Mary Margaret.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Lambe; his sons, Seann (Amanda), Chadd (Tara) and Wyatt (Kelsey); his brother Bruce; his sister-in-law Anne Goetz; his grandchildren, Alexis Young (Nick), Jocelyn, Cooper Cassidy, Greg, Dylan, Kamm Cassidy, Noah Mohr (Kym), Bauer, Macguire, Greeley Ward, Sheldon, Ireland Cassidy, Cole and Emmett Cassidy; his great grandchildren, Collins, Wesley Young and Avery Mohr; and his siblings, Linda Scheefer (Bob), Kathy Pallotta (Vito), Diane Richie and Gerry Cassidy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:45 PM at the M. B. Clark, Inc. (2310 Saranac Ave, Lake Placid, NY 12946). A prayer will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 6:45 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Agnes Church (169 Hillcrest Ave, Lake Placid, NY 12946).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to the American Legion or LPYAA, two organizations close to Rik's heart.
