It is with great sadness that we announce the death of JoAnn Gesvantner of Liberty, New York, who passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph G. Gesvantner and Margaret Knack Gesvantner. She is survived by: her sisters, Denise Gesvantner of Liberty, NY and MaryLou Van Aken (Harold) of Wallkill, NY; her siblings' children, Todd Van Aken of New Jersey and Kimberly Jones (Andrew) of Rock Hill, NY; her great-nephew Tyler Van Aken; her great-niece Eliza Jones; her close friend William Mellors of Afton, NY; and her cousins, Margo Denman (Uada Ketcham) of Newfield, NY, Jim Denman (Gail) of Livingston Manor, NY and Lee Denman of Slaterville Springs, NY..
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harris Funeral Home - Liberty (115 West St, Liberty, NY 12754). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions in JoAnn's name may be made to the National Wildlife Federation 11100 Wildlife Center Drive, Reston, VA 20190.
