He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur B. Loomis and Irene Spaulding Loomis of Fulton. He is survived by: his wife Linda Morley Loomis; his children, James A, Kathryn Loomis Smith (Bill) and Kristin Loomis Cleveland (Joe); his sisters, Marietta Loomis Colitre (Leigh) and Susan Loomis Stiles (Tom); and his cousins, Peter Loomis (Patty) and Richard Loomis.

His love for them never wavered even as he endured the indignities and confusion of Alzheimer's disease.
