He is survived by: his parent Anna Yurkonis (Melosky); his wife Marilyn Browning Yurkonis (Walser); and his children, Kathleen Emerson (Michael), Patricia Bethka (Dean Thomas), Susan Underwood (David), Karen Windhausen (Michael), Sharon Schug (Robert) and Donald W. Yurkonis, Jr. (Kathy Heider). He is also survived by five stepchildren, nine step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
