He was predeceased by : his parents, Otis Edgar and Ethel Fern Norrix (Lowrey); his wife Lorna Mary White; and his brothers, David and Gerald.

He is survived by : his children, Shaun A. Bennett (Brian) of Lakeland, FL, Cheryl L. Butler (Edward) of Syracuse, Rev. Robert J. Norrix (Karen Bellimer) of Syracuse and Daryl D. Norrix of Lakeland, FL.; his grandchildren, Malinda K. Aitkin (Michael) of Warrington, PA, Amy T. Caywood (Chris) of Syracuse, Timothy E. Butler (Corinne) of West Depford, NJ and Alison R. Butler of Warrington, PA.; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Lucas Aitkin, Charlotte and Olivia Butler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 27th 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Erwin First United Methodist Church (920 Euclid Ave, Syracuse, NY 13210).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pastor's Emergency Fund at Erwin First United Methodist Church, 920 Euclid Avenue, Syracuse, NY 13210.
