He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Shipley and Mary Shipley; and his parents-in-law, David and Mary Laufer. He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Katie Reith (Christopher), Erin Shipley (Michael Calos) and Brian Shipley; his granddaughter Stella Calos; his brother John Shipley (Diane); and his parents-in-law, Mary Margaret Ritz (Robin), Ellen Strobel (Peter), Martin Laufer (Adrienne) and Lisa Moeller (William). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Edward's name to the Herschell Carrousel Museum or the Salvation Army, whose causes were dear to his heart.
