He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jacob Matheis and Mary Matheis (Tropert); his wife Gertrude Matheis (Krull); his sons, Robert Matheis (Naomi) and Kenneth Matheis (Sandy); his grandchildren, Robert Matheis Jr. (Bianca), Phillip Matheia and Susan Matheis; and his sister-in-law Helen Loiars (late Frank). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
