He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Reynolds Loftus and Howard Loftus of Lockport; his wife Mary Alice Loftus (Bush); his daughter Molly Loftus (Ken Polchlopek); and his siblings, Alice Burke, James Loftus, Janet Naslund, Mary Louise Moran, Carol Evans, Richard Loftus and Robert Loftus.
He is survived by: his son Michael Loftus (Julie Glasgow); his grandchildren, Stephany Voss and Christian Voss (Donna); his great grandchild Olivia Voss; and his sister Anne Jeanne Grant (Peter). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any memorial donations in Joe's name be made to the Niagara Aerospace Museum, the Friends of Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge (FINWR) or the Lockport Public Library.
