He was predeceased by: his wife Florence; and his sister Irene Bembia. He is survived by: his sons, Thomas P. (Jackie), James T. (Laurie), David and Daniel J. Szumla (Heather); his grandchildren, Andrew, Norine, Christopher, Alana, Ashley, Alex and Abbey; and his siblings, Walter Szumla (Patricia), Laura Szumla, Florence Kuchta, Richard, Paul and Jane Szumla. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
