With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Carolyn Byrnes of Locust Valley, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Carolyn left this world on May 25, 2025 at the age of 64, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ronald Rotella and Doris Rotella; and her brothers-in-law, James and Daniel Byrnes. She is survived by: her husband Michael Byrnes; her children, Jennifer, Christopher and Kevin; her sisters, Nancy Aron (Michael) and Susan Rotella; and her siblings-in-law, Mary Byrnes, Lisa Frasier-Byrnes, Linda King-Byrnes and Ray Byrnes (Santa).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the McClaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home (220 Glen St, Glen Cove, NY 11542). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Gertrude's (28 School St, Bayville, NY 11709). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Locust Valley Cemetery (117 Ryefield Rd, Locust Valley, NY 11560).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carolyn's name to ALK Positive, an advocacy and research group for ALK Positive lung cancer patients, a devastating disease with no known cause or cure that took our Carolyn much too soon.
