He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Antonio Nicolia and Gaetana Nicolia (Spitallari); his siblings, Vito Ragusa and Vincenza Martillotta; his sons, Vincent Nicolia (Kathy) of Brockport and Anthony Nicolia (Toni Marie) of Greece; his brother Blase Nicolia (Amelia) of Grand Island; his grandchildren, Anthony, Cassandra and Angela; and his great grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Mia and Marianna. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NYS Veterans Home, 220 Richmond Ave., Batavia, NY, 14020.
