With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joyce K. Sweeney of Lyons Falls, New York, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on June 27, 2021 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce K. Sweeney to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, William Hughes and Theda Hughes (Lyon) of Port Leyden; and her brothers, William "Griff" Hughes and Donald Glenn Hughes. She is survived by : her nephew Bill Hughes (Donna) of Waconia, MN; her niece Michele Jett of Elko, MN; her sister-in-law Karen Hughes of Warrenton, MO; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Nick, Morgan, Cassidy, Kyle, Logan, Adam and Emily.

In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you consider a donation to the Port Leyden Fire Department.
