She was predeceased by: her parents, Christopher Cornelius Gavin and Margaret Iffrig Gavin; her brother Stephen L. Gavin; and her former husband Thomas G. Broderick. She is survived by: her children, Patrice Burke (Tim), Thomas Broderick (Kathleen), Paul Broderick (Gavin Lambie) and John Broderick (Laura); and her grandchildren, Thomas, Patrick, Catherine, Austin, Louise and Nell.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel (1570 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St Mary's Church (1300 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030). A burial will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd, Woodside, NY 11377).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ellen's name may be made to North Shore Animal League.
