We are sad to announce that on October 29, 2025, at the age of 75, Mary Ellen Baker (Manhasset, New York), born in Queens, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maurice Galvin and Anne Galvin; her siblings, Ed, Pat, Annie and Maurice; her husband Thomas Baker; her sons, Matthew and Sean; and her grandchildren, Declan (Dec) and Penelope.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fairchild Funeral Chapel (1570 Northern Blvd, Manhasset, NY 11030). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Aloysius Church (592 Middle Neck Rd, Great Neck, NY 11021-3853). A burial was held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the All Saints Cemetery (855 Middle Neck Rd, Great Neck, NY 11024).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary Ellen's memory to the Alzheimer's Association, Long Island Chapter (https://www.alz.org.) and please remember that Mary Ellen would want you to celebrate her life well and joyously lived rather than mourn her passing.
