It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alex Magnitzky of Marcy, New York, born in Yonkers, New York, who passed away on February 18, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Rev. Alexander and Anastasia Sirotiak Magnitzky; his wife Mary Ruth Jones; his son Michael; his sister Vera; his siblings-in-law, Jean Jones and Wiley Jones (Peg); his daughter-in-law Terri Wood; his grandchildren, Jessica Lee (Nate), Joshua (Heather Leitz) and Danielle Magnitzky; and his great grandchildren, Eanna, Aurora, Remy, North and Sylus.

Interment will be in the spring in Carr Cemetery, Marcy.In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Maynard Fire Department and the Maynard Ladies Auxiliary.Arrangements are in the care of Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, New Hartford.
