She was predeceased by : her son Donald Briggs Jr; her mother Susan Atkinson; her stepfather William Atkinson; her sisters, Sally Haley-McGee and Laura Gens; and her nephew Timothy Krause.

She is survived by : her husband Donald A. Briggs Sr of Mayville, NY; her son Robert Briggs (Anna) of Mayville, NY; and her siblings, Becky McCall (Darrell) of Canton, OH and Ken Haley (Therese) of Ashville, NY. She is also survived by siblings and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
