He is survived by: his mother Betty Walker Rood of Stillwater; his son Jared Rood (Samantha) of Oswego; his grandchildren, Jordan Mitchell Rood, Soren McCoy Rood, Abel Mathias, Axle Malakai, Atticus Maverick and Aleister Mordekai; and his siblings, Jeanne Steele (Wayne), Debbie Brown (Jim) and Alaine Rood. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
