He was predeceased by: his sister Emma. He is survived by: his sons, John A. (Rachel), David (Cheri) of Mechanicville and Kevin (Mary) of Halfmoon; his grandchildren, Brittney, Madison, Isabella, MaKayla and Kevin, Jr.; his great grandchild Layne Recore; and the mother of his children Patty Genevick VanChance.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hudson South Church (121 North Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Hudson Church (121 North Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118). A burial will be held on Wednesday, June 25th 2025 at the Saratoga National Cemetery (200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to either the Mechanicville or Clifton Park Halfmoon Fire Dept., in memory of John A. VanChance.
