He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Santa Barbara Fortune; and his siblings, Michael, Mary and Nancy Fortune. He is survived by: his children, Mary Ann and John Fortune (Colleen); and his granddaughters, Kathryn Fortune Martino (Robert) and Stephanie Fortune.

A funeral Mass was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Hudson Church (121 N Main St, Mechanicville, NY 12118). A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the St. Paul's Cemetery.
