She was predeceased by: her parents, Willett Hunt and Florence Hunt (Akin); and her husband Richard F. Akin. She is survived by: her sons, Richard W. Akin (Sue) of Johnsonville, Howard J. Akin (Kari) of Johnsonville, Glenn Akin (late Kay) of Johnsonville, Dale Akin (Kelly) of Johnsonville and Todd Akin (Jean) of Buskirk. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
