He was predeceased by : his parents, John Q. Dresser II and Florence E. Dresser (Mercer); his wife E. June Dresser; his daughter Mary Bacon; and his granddaughter Emily Bacon.

He is survived by : his sons, James Dresser (Paula) and Daniel Dresser, Sr. (Nancy); his son-in-law Paul Bacon; his grandchildren, Cynthia Brinkerhoff (James), Adam Dresser (Heather), Sara Flansburg (Benjamin), Kaitlyn Miller (Corey), Daniel Dresser, Jr. (Nicole) and Dorothy Slegle (Matthew); and his great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Henry Dresser, Molly June, Landon Flansburg, Natalie, Lane, Claire Miller, Thomas, Caroline Dresser, Brooke, Addison, Tucker Slegle and Auden Brinkerhoff. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
