Though Sammie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Mims and Bernice Mims (Baker); and his siblings, Poshie Mims, Oscar Mims, Barbara DeBose and Elijah Mims.
He is survived by: his partner Kim Laskey of Medina; his siblings, John Henry Mims, Doris Mims, Terry Ross and Reba Mims; and his nephew Elijah Mims (Jody Nottingham).
