He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine M. Hutchins (Polanco); his children, Katherine Bissett, Barbara Hemingway (Val) and Henry Dobrouch; and his parents, Goldie and Andrew.
He is survived by: his daughter Jacqueline Heaphy (Pat); his grandchildren, Stephanie Nevills (Colby), Patrick Heaphy II (Theresa), Ashley Hemingway, Heidi Bissett (Jon), Michelle Bissett and Zachary Hemingway (Jas); his great grandchildren, Jordyn Nevills (Bryant), Chase Nevills, Cort Nevills, Jonathan Heaphy, Alexander Heaphy and Jacob Bissett; his great great grandchild Daxton Carter; and his sisters, Loretta Clary and Marjorie Allen.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Traub Funeral Home (684 N Main St, Central Square, NY 13036).
Donations can be made in Bernard's honor to the American Heart Association.
