He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. Blampied and Dorothy Blampied (Sutherland); and his grandson Benjamin David Blampied. He is survived by: his wife Sandra L Blampied (Pietrewicz); his children, Janet McCarey (Mark), Michele Giannino (Frank), Kevin Blampied and David Blampied (Laurie); his grandchildren, Joshua Blampied (Melanie), Glenn Gilson (Megan), Jenna Andersen (Nicholas), Allister Blampied (Vivian), Mark S McCarey, Samantha Gilson, Michael McCarey (Gudmundur Olafsson), Jessica McCarey and Jason Blampied; and his great grandchildren, Ester Gudmundsdottir, Jamie Ryan, Olafur Gudmundsson, Briella Gilson, Greyson Gilson, Genevieve Blampied, Brooke Andersen and Levi Andersen. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces & nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Martinez-Morse Funeral Home (33 Railroad Ave, Middletown, NY 10940).
In his memory, donations can be made to the Ontario Hose Company #5 and/or The Wounded Warrior Project.
