Vivian R. DeMent Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vivian R. DeMent of Minetto, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 3, 2025 at the age of 90. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Ranous and Hazel Ranous (Andrus); her husband James DeMent; and her siblings, Alan Ranous and Mae McKinstry.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Lloyd (Robert) of Oswego, Maureen DeMent and John DeMent (Melanie) of New Hampshire; her grandchildren, Laura Ferguson (Josh), James Lloyd (Zeynep), Nicholas DeMent, Ivy DeMent and Anthony DeMent; and her great grandchildren, Zane Ferguson, Xander Ferguson and Bentley Ferguson. She is also survived by many close friends and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Minetto United Methodist Church (2433 County Rte 8, Oswego, NY 13126).
