He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oney and Retta West; his sibling Delphus Jr. Dorsey; and his parents-in-law, Ora Dorsey and Delphus Dorsey.
He is survived by: his close friend Richard "Rich" Rosenthal; his wife Joyce Dorsey-Oney; his children, Quenessa, Carlton (Michelle Oney), Delcina (James McNeely), Mervin, Eric, Jonathan, Duwayne and Baby Ray; and his siblings, Sylvester (Jane Oney), David (Diane Oney), Doris (late Frank Winder), Hilda Page, Marie (late Robert Stanley), Mary Talora (Ervin), Shirley Newman (Eric), Gregory Dorsey (Sylvia), Owen Dorsey, Karen Dorsey and James Dorsey (Helen). He is also survived by son; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
