He was predeceased by : his parents, Russell M. DeKing, Jr. and Jennie Snyder DeKing; his wife Candace "Candie" Elizabeth DeKing; and his siblings, Terry Lynn DeKing, Joann Daley and Lelah Phillips.

He is survived by : his daughters, Jessica Marie Thomson (Steven) of Westmoreland, Christina DeKing (Dustin Pennay) of Windsor and Amber Rose DeKing of Morrisville; his siblings, Marvin DeKing of Cazenovia, Diane Baker (Harold) of Utah, Nancy Tanner (Paul Gloska) of Chittenango, Rickey DeKing (Sandra) of Cazenovia, Frank DeKing (Joanne) of Kirkville, Gilbert DeKing (Jill) of Cazenovia and Marion Stokes (Walt) of Morrisville; and his grandchildren, Derrick, David, Madison, Sophia, Grace, Caiden, Kylo and Scarlett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
