He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Monahan and Elizabeth Monahan; his wife Joan Martin Monahan; his son William Monahan; and his siblings, Grace Monahan, Thomas Monahan and John Monahan.
He is survived by: his daughter Frances Galu (Jerry) of Highland Falls; his grandchildren, James Galu (Olivia) of Fishkill, NY, Bill Monahan of Casenovia, NY, James Monahan (Mary) of Goshen, NY and Katherine Monahan of Goshen, NY; his daughter-in-law Andrea Sciarrino of Goshen, NY; and his brother Robert Monahan (Rosemarie). He is also survived by three great grandchildren, his goddaughters Rosanne Torpey of Maryland and Amy Tremper of South Carolina and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's name to the Nanuet Fire Department.
