Alice L. Podeswa Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alice L. Podeswa of Nassau, New York, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Alice leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Alice may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Miller and Anna Drabik Miller; her husband Louis Podeswa; and her brothers, Leonard and Thomas Miller.
She is survived by: her close friend Kazimierz Korolewicz; and her children, Christopher Podeswa (Teresa Schehr), Timothy Podeswa (Hope Devine), Louis Podeswa (Anne Marie), Sharon Skrocki (Raymond) and Dennis Podeswa. She is also survived by Seven grandchildren; Four great grandchildren and 0ne great great grandchild; Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Please Enter the Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the McVeigh Funeral Home (208 N Allen St, Albany, NY 12206).
