Gertrude Rose Pierce-Boyd Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 12, 2020, Gertrude Rose Pierce-Boyd (New Berlin, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Dewey and Ruth Dewey; her former life partner Neldon Pierce; her husband Paul Boyd; her daughter June; her sons-in-law, Charles Hendrix and Richard Jardine; her grandson Mark Craver; and her siblings, Marguerite, Roy, Jr., Manuel, Alpha, Fred and Marie.

She is survived by : her children, Leota Hendrix and Douglas Pierce; her granddaughters, Brenda Craver and Debra Allen (Robert); her great grandchildren, Jeremiah, Luman Craver, Joshua and Jared Kiel; her brother Raymond; and her stepdaughters, Reta Faye, Linda and Edna. She is also survived by 7 great, great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great, great-grandson.

Gertie's departure from this earth was hastened by the isolation forced on us by this pandemic.

Memorial donations can be made to either facility in lieu of flowers.
