She was predeceased by: her parents, Garrett O'Brien and Rhea O'Brien (Moore); her husband Jack Yntema; her son-in-law Martin Griffin; her friend Cynthia Ryan; her sister Mary Louise Yedkois (Bill); her niece Deanna; and also, Andy and Elizabeth Yntema.
She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Vandewater (Bob), Joyce Ryan and Mary Carole Griffin; her grandchildren, Kayla Cocquyt (Greg), Dan Ryan, Abby Griffin (Jack) and Naomi Griffin; her niece Debbie; and her nephews, Billy and Gary.
Carole took excellent care of Jack when his Parkinson's disease progressed. The last few years she was the one that needed assistance as her Alzheimer's symptoms worsened.
