She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Calogero Acquista and Marianna Acquista (Chiarelli); her husband Anthony Bertone; and her sister Dina. She was also cherished by her nieces (even a wedding dress!) and nephews and her great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Notre Dame R. C. Church (5 Mayfair Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040).
