Gertrude H. Airone Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gertrude H. Airone (New Hyde Park, New York), born in Manhattan, New York. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gertrude may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gertrude touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Adolph; and her sister Elizabeth. She is survived by: her children, Bernard, Alfred and Helene. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at 5:30 PM and on Monday, January 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Robert Cederstrom Officiating New Hyde Park Funeral Home (506 Lakeville Rd, New Hyde Park, NY 11040).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Gertrude's name to the ASPCA or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
