She was predeceased by : her parents, Joseph Shuckrow and Violet Shuckrow; her husband Joseph McDermott; her son-in-law Charles Campbell; and her sister Joan Hart.
She is survived by : her children, Joseph Michael (Dottie) of Florida, Edward Patrick of New Paltz, Timothy (Lisa) of North Carolina and Kathleen Campbell of North Carolina; her grandchildren, Kelleye Anne McDermott of Texas, Kimberley McDermott of Florida, Allyson McDermott of North Carolina, Jillian McDermott of North Carolina, Ryan Campbell of North Carolina and Colleen Campbell of North Carolina; her great grandchild Sophia Campbell of North Carolina; her nieces, Sharon Hart of North Carolina and Denise Tylor of Washington; her cousin Carol Passaic of Gardiner; her friend Julia Kochik of Virginia; and also Caroline Paulson.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's name be made to either the Ulster County SPCA, 20 Wiedy Drive, Kingston, New York 12401 or to St. Joseph's Church, 34 South Chestnut Street, New Paltz, New York 12561.
